Martial arts is a contact sport, similar to rugby, and involves unavoidable physical contact. Bumps, bruises, and minor injuries are a normal part of training. Although we take participant safety seriously and use structured teaching methods to reduce risk, accidental injuries can and do occur. These may include sprains, strains, dislocations, fractures, concussions, cuts, abrasions, and other injuries resulting from physical activity, contact, or unpredictable movements.
By completing registration, you acknowledge and accept the following conditions:
Contact‑sport risks — accidental injury may occur despite strong safety measures.
Grappling‑related property damage — uniforms may tear, clothing may be damaged, and prohibited items such as jewellery or shoes may break if worn.
Prohibited items — jewellery and shoes are not permitted during training; any damage to prohibited items is the parent/guardian’s responsibility.
Loss of personal items — items left behind are not the responsibility of Alan Figueroa or instructors.
Third‑party venue policy — the hall is hired from an external venue; all lost‑property enquiries must be directed to hall management.
Parental observation rights — you may observe any class and withdraw your child from any activity.
Liability release — you agree not to hold Alan Figueroa, assistant instructors, guest instructors, volunteers, visitors, or other participants responsible for accidental injury or property damage.
Financial limitation — any legal claim is limited to the tuition paid for the training term in which an injury or loss occurs.
WA governing law — all participation is governed exclusively by Western Australian law, and any legal action must be brought only within the jurisdiction of Western Australia.
By submitting this registration form, you confirm that you understand and accept these conditions and agree to be bound by the full Terms & Conditions. You acknowledge that martial arts training carries inherent risks, that property damage or loss may occur, and that participation requires personal responsibility, respect for safety rules, and compliance with instructor guidance. You further acknowledge that the Program operates within hired facilities and that venue‑related matters such as lost property fall under the responsibility of the hall management. Your acceptance of these terms forms a binding agreement under Western Australian law and is a condition of enrolment and ongoing participation in all classes, workshops, and activities conducted by or associated with Alan Figueroa.
